Before You Start That Next Load of Laundry...Hydrant Flushing
The City is flushing fire hydrants from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday through mid-May. The water is safe to drink, but residents should allow the faucet to run a few minutes.

Residents should limit water usage and refrain from laundering their clothes during this time period to avoid staining from rusty water. In the event clothing turns discolored, keep the garment wet and call our Public Works Department at 630-232-1501 for a rust-removing solution packet.

We have more info on our website and check out our online map to track our progress. When your neighborhood is finished, feel free to do laundry any time.
