  1. Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival

    August 31 - September 1 @ Island Park

    The Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival will have eight stage areas filled with national, regional and local music acts. Patrons also will enjoy hands-on workshops, topical song & story workshops, dance, vocal & instrument classes and plenty of children's entertainment. Come join the fun on the banks of the Fox River at beautiful Island Park.

  2. Festival Of The Vine

    September 5 - September 7 @ Fourth and State streets

    Savor the flavor of Geneva during Festival of the Vine, our autumn harvest celebration. Initially a celebration of anything grown on a vine, the festival now revolves around food and wine. Geneva has 23 fine restaurants showcased at the “Flavor Fare” along with a variety of wine for purchase. Visitors purchase tickets and buy a “taste” at one of the featured restaurants in the tent. To accompany your food, unique wines from around the world will be available for purchase. Enjoy versatile local and Chicago-land musical and dance entertainers on the stage throughout the weekend. Looking for some tips on spicing up an autumn dish? The Harvest Demo Stage, located on James Street, hosts a variety of free demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday. Other events during the festival include an arts and crafts show, merchant wine events, business booths, complimentary trolley and horse drawn carriage rides plus great shopping in Geneva’s historic downtown.

    September 7, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Fourth and South streets

    Bensidoun USA will again operate their French Market on the parking lot at the corner of Fourth and South streets in downtown Geneva. The outdoor market will open April 27 and be open every Sunday through Nov. 16. Vendors at this open air market will sell items such as vegetables, fruits, flowers, oils, cheeses, tea, baked goods and homemade soaps and pasta. There will also be some unique goods such as apparel and art. The market, which is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., is perfect for a Sunday stroll.

  4. Rain Barrels on Parade

    September 7, 2:00 PM @ Galena Cellars

    Geneva's Natural Resources Committee presents Rain Barrels on Parade. The event is a live auction and water conservation campaign that highlights a rain barrel's role in capturing and recycling water. If you are at Festival of the Vine, make sure to stop on by to check out the rain barrels.

    Award winning songwriter Julie Patchouli & master guitarist Bruce Hecksel light up the air with their powerful contagious chemistry. This is a free, family event. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. Funded in part through the City of Geneva Outdoor Music Geneva grant program.

  10. Greater Geneva Art Guild Studio Tour

    September 26 - September 28 @ Addresses and map located on Studio Tour ticket

    An opportunity awaits you; visit 12 artist studios on Sept. 26-28. More than 30 participating artists will have their works available to purchase, and you can meet the artists displaying their various art forms. Tickets can be purchased online or at several Geneva locations including Geneva Ace Hardware, Circa, Gallery 28,the Art Box, and Crystal Life.
