Project Description
Starting the week of October 11th, City crews will be replacing underground electric cable along River Lane. There is an existing underground duct system that will be used along the west side of River Lane running from Ford Street on the north, to James Street on the south. There are electric vaults in the sidewalks north of State Street and one in the pavement in the southbound lane of River Lane south of State Street.
At times there will be parking spaces that will be blocked off to accommodate the City vehicles during this project. In addition, it will be necessary to close southbound River Lane when crews are working in the vault in the roadway. Appropriate signage and traffic control devices will be posted at those times.
Project Schedule
Work hours will be between 7:00 a.m. and 3:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. The expected completion date of this project is November 5, 2010, however if problems are encountered with the existing conduits, the project may be extended. Updates will be posted on the City’s website.
