Project Description
This project involves the replacement of deteriorated sidewalk or curb. Elegible sidewalks must have significant cracking or spalling or have a joint separation of 1" resulting in a trip hazard.
Elegible curb must have significant distresses that result in impeding proper roadway drainage. Curb will not be replaced due to minor spalls or cracks or to solely remove a driveway "hump".
Each year an area of the City is targeted for active survey of sidewalk condition. We will also address deficient sidewalk on a City wide basis after being notified of a specific location and verification that it meets replacement criteria. Curb is replaced on an as notified basis. If a street is targeted for rehabilitation in the near future, curb replacement may wait until the entire street is improved.
Project Schedule
Safe step sidewalk trip hazard cutters will work in April. Concrete removal and replacement will be done June - August.
