CHANGE IN REQUIREMENTS - FIREFIGHTER APPLICANTS – CITY OF GENEVA, ILLINOIS
The Fire and Police Commission recently changed the Rules and Regulations for the Physical Ability Testing of all applicants. The changed regulation states:
All applicants for Firefighter shall submit proof of having successfully completed the “Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) within the 6 month period prior to the date applications are submitted to the Board.
CPAT testing sites are the Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy (www.nipsta.org) located in Glenview, IL and the Southwest United Fire Districts (www.sufd.org) located in Darien, IL. Please direct all questions about CPAT and test dates to these organizations.
Cost for the CPAT is the responsibility of the applicant.
