The City of Geneva Economic Development Department has compiled a Business Resource Guide on City Departments you will work with when opening your business in the City of Geneva. Services include – Help identifying your best location; Planning & Zoning; Building Inspection & obtaining your “Certificate of Occupancy;” Public Works programs & utility connections; Fire & Police services; business licensing; and more. In addition to City services you will find a list of county, state, township, and federal resources.
Liquor Licensing: Certain types of liquor licenses are granted with the consent of the City Council; all types are reviewed by the Geneva Police Department and Liquor Commissioner.
