Electronics RecylingProgram Change - Geneva Collection Site Closes Dec. 15
Changes made by Kane County’s electronics recycling vendor have resulted in the closing of the collection site at Geneva’s Public Works Department, 1800 South St. The last day to drop off old electronics is Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015.

With state law prohibiting disposing of computer monitors, printers and televisions in landfills, Geneva residents will now have to utilize the following free recycling locations:

St. Charles Public Works Department
  • Address - 1405 S. Seventh Ave.
  • Hours - The facility is open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday. 

Kane County Circuit Court Clerk's Office
  • Address - 540 S. Randall Road, St. Charles
  • Months - April through November
  • Hours - 8 a.m. to noon on the second Saturday 


Why Was The Geneva Location Closed?
Kane County's electronics recycling vendor changed the scope of the program and wanted to save money on operating costs. Read more details in our news release
