Wedding Walk

The Downtown Geneva Wedding Walk is the perfect time to see all Geneva has to offer to plan your unique wedding. Brides will have a chance to meet with venues, boutique shops, and visit some of the top wedding businesses in Chicagoland.

March 10-12, 2016

GardenologyGardenology Day
Saturday, May 14, 2016
Jump-start your gardening season at Gardenology. Advisers and vendors will bring their best ideas and garden related products to downtown Geneva. Preservation Walk
Spring 2016
Celebrate Preservation Month with a self-guided walking tour of historic downtown Geneva by clicking here. Click on a number in the map for a photograph and brief description of the property. Posters will be placed in the historic buildings, or as near to them as possible. 

Who's on Third? Art Event
June 2016
The gathering of artists will feature Plein Aire painting around the city of Geneva on Friday. Saturday will be dedicated to GGAG artists selling their art in an open market located on Campbell Street, located between 3rd and 4th and in front of the court house in downtown Geneva.

Swedish Day
Sunday, June 19, 2016
The Midwest’s oldest Midsummer festival dates back to 1911 and is held at Good Templar Park, 528 East Side Drive. This ethnic festival is organized by the Swedish Day Committee of IOGT and features an Arts & Crafts fair, Folk Dancers, Maypole Celebration, Live Music, Children’s Choir, and more.

Swedish Days FestivalSwedish Days Clown
June 21-26, 2016
Geneva’s largest festival features a host of family-friendly activities with live musical entertainment, a carnival, Kids’ Day fun, Sweden Väst, a Grand Parade, multi-ethnic food plus great shopping in our historic downtown. Geneva’s train station is located just blocks from the festivities.

Geneva Classic Car Shows
July and August on Thursday Evenings
Fourth & James St., (Courthouse Parking Lot)
Check out the shining chrome and gleaming engines of antiques, custom build, sports and muscle cars along with food, music and a DJ; free admission.

RiverPark Concert Series
July on Sunday Evenings
A variety of musical and theatre performances are held during this free event at the RiverParkAmphitheatre on North River Lane.

Shakespeare in the Park
Summer 2016
A Ravinia-style family-friendly theater event at 6:00 pm in the beautiful Island Park. Seating begins at 5 p.m

Geneva Arts Fair
July 23 - 24, 2016
More than 140 artisans in a host of mediums from around the country are showcased along Third Street in downtown Geneva. Free admission; includes a children’s art area.

Classic car enthusiasts will gather together again this year in Geneva, Illinois to view a beautiful collection of antique, classic and modern automobiles. Participants from all over the country will display their prized automobiles on Third Street hoping to be awarded one of the coveted "Benz" trophies.

Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival
September 4-5, 2016
Eight stage areas present concerts, hands-on workshops, topical song & story workshops, dance, vocal & instrument classes and special things for the kids in Geneva's beautiful Island Park.

Geneva restaurants create an array of specialties under an outdoor tent at the “Flavor Fare” partnered with wine and live musical entertainment. The Fall Harvest Market offers food and floral demos. An arts and crafts show, flower market, horse-drawn carriage rides and several exceptional wine tasting and dinner events also take place around the historic downtown.

Eat Your Art Out

Christmas WalkChristmas Walk & House Tour

December 2-3, 2016
The traditional Christmas Walk begins at 6 pm on Friday evening as Santa makes his appearance to light the Great Tree and open his Gingerbread House for the season. The House Tour is held on both Friday and Saturday. Five unique homes decorated for the holidays will open their doors to visitors.

Christmas Walk Live Windows
Friday, December 2, 2016 
Following the Christmas Walk, many of downtown Geneva's storefront windows will "come alive" with dancers, artists, and beautiful models. Click here for more information. 

Steeple Walk
Sunday, December 4, 2016
Listen to beautiful holiday music in the setting of four of Geneva’s historic churches. You will be treated to a variety of folk songs, instrumentals and Christmas classics. Each of the Steeple Walk performances lasts about 20 minutes.
