The City of Geneva Comprehensive Plan establishes goals, objectives, and policies for the future of the community as well as long-range recommendations for land-use, transportation, and community facilities.

Downtown/Station Area Master Plan
Adopted in 2012, the Downtown/Station Area Master Plan is intended to guide the direction of change and growth in Downtown Geneva over the next 10 to 15 years. As a follow-up, in 2014 the zoning code is being reviewed to provide consistency with the Downtown Station plan and the City's zoning codes.

Southeast Master Plan
Adopted in 2012, the Southeast Master Plan describes the City's vision for the future of the area, expectations for development and redevelopment, and recommendations on land-use, road connections, utility extensions, access and circulation, transit, and open/civic space.

Proposed Changes
Temporary Outdoor Sales Regulation
The city is considering a change to the zoning regulations which would allow for temporary outdoor sales on private and public right-of-way without special permission from the city council.
