Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival
August 31 and September 1, 2014
Eight stage areas present concerts, hands-on workshops, topical song & story workshops, dance, vocal & instrument classes and special things for the kids in Geneva's beautiful Island Park. On Saturday August 30, 2014, join us early on Third Street for live music by festival and regional performers, and at the Park District's Playhouse 38 for storytelling.

On August 29th and 30th, the City of Geneva, in partnership with Geneva Bank and Trust, the Kane County Chronicle, 95.9 the River, Shodeen Companies, Geneva Park District, and the Geneva Public Library District will bring live music and storytelling downtown, as a preview to the Folk Festival. Join us for six special downtown performances!


Festival of the Vine

September 5-7, 2014
Geneva restaurants create an array of specialties under an outdoor tent at the “Flavor Fare” partnered with wine and live musical entertainment. The Fall Harvest Market offers food and floral demos. An arts and crafts show, flower market, horse-drawn carriage rides and several exceptional wine tasting and dinner events also take place around the historic downtown.

Geneva Art Guild Studio Tour
Friday to Sunday, September 26 to 28, 2014
An opportunity awaits you; visit 12 artist studios on Sept. 26-28. More than 30 participating artists will have their works available to purchase, and you can meet the artists displaying their various art forms. Tickets can be purchased online or at several Geneva locations including Geneva Ace Hardware, Circa, Gallery 28,the Art Box, and Crystal Life. Geneva Art Guild Arty Party
Sunday, October 4, 2014

Join the Geneva Art Guild for a night of fun, including a silent auction with artwork by Geneva artists, raffle, live band, light fare and refreshments, cash bar, and meet and greet the artists! It’s a party! The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Geneva Golf Club. Tickets are $25 prior to Sept. 29; 30 afterwards and at the door. Christmas Walk & House Tour
Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6, 2014
The traditional Christmas Walk begins at 6 pm on Friday evening as Santa makes his appearance to light the Great Tree and open his Gingerbread House for the season. The House Tour is held on both Friday and Saturday. Five unique homes decorated for the holidays will open their doors to visitors.

Eat Your Art Out

Wedding Walk
March 2015
The Downtown Geneva Wedding Walk is the perfect time to see all Geneva has to offer to plan your unique wedding. Brides will have a chance to meet with venues, boutique shops, and visit some of the top wedding businesses in Chicagoland.

Geneva Film Festival

Spring 2015
Film screenings and education workshops are the focus of this event for film buffs.

GardenologyGardenology Day
Saturday, May 16, 2015
Gardenology advisers and vendors will bring their best ideas and garden related products to jump-start the gardening season. Presentations are held on the courthouse lawn and in front of stores.

Swedish Day
Sunday, June 21, 2015
The Midwest’s oldest Midsummer festival dates back to 1911 and is held at Good Templar Park, 528 East Side Drive. This ethnic festival is organized by the Swedish Day Committee of IOGT and features an Arts & Crafts fair, Folk Dancers, Maypole Celebration, Live Music, Children’s Choir, and more.

Swedish Days FestivalSwedish Days Clown
June 23-28, 2015
Geneva’s largest festival features a host of family-friendly activities with live musical entertainment, a carnival, Kids’ Day fun, Grand Parade, Sweden Väst, a Grand Parade, multi-ethnic food plus great shopping in our historic downtown. Geneva’s train station is located just blocks from the festivities.

RiverPark Concert Series
Sunday Evenings in July at 6 pm
A variety of musical and theatre performances are held during this free event at the RiverParkAmphitheatre on North River Lane.

Geneva Arts Fair
July 25-26, 2015
More than 140 artisans in a host of mediums from around the country are showcased along Third Street in downtown Geneva. Free admission; includes a children’s art area.

Geneva Classic Car Shows
