Transition To Lakeshore Recycling

Lakeshore Garbage

Service Starts In July

The City of Geneva's refuse and recycling services will be transitioning to Lakeshore Recycling Systems effective in July 1, 2018. As a reminder, the City's refuse contract with Advanced Disposal continues through Saturday, June 30. Please continue to use Advanced stickers and carts for the remainder of the month.

As Geneva prepares to switch providers, here are highlights of the upcoming transition to Lakeshore Recycling. More detailed information about programs and services can be found on the menu bar on this webpage.

Please note, the City's new garbage contract does not apply to residents of the Mill Creek subdivision, which is unincorporated Kane County. Call Blackberry Township regarding garbage questions.

Weekly Pickups & Rates

Garbage collection days will remain on Thursday and Friday, although the first week of collection will be one day later than normal due to the Independence Day holiday.

Garbage rates for stickers, 20-gallon bags and carts also are available online.

Residents still have the option to use garbage stickers to dispose of their trash, or they use a garbage cart that has a monthly subscription fee.

Residents using an Advanced cart will receive the same size from Lakeshore. Need a different size? Call Lakeshore prior to Aug. 31. Garbage and recycling carts may be delivered on different days.
