The City of Geneva Affordable Housing Plan establishes the goal of bringing the percentage of affordable housing units in the City to a minimum of 10% of the total housing stock. 

The plan, which brings Geneva into compliance with the Affordable Housing Planning and Appeals Act, includes:

• A statement of the total number of affordable housing units that are necessary to exempt Geneva from the operation of the act.
• Identification of lands within Geneva that are most appropriate for the construction of affordable housing and of existing structures most appropriate for conversion to, or rehabilitation for affordable housing. 
• Incentives that Geneva may provide for the purpose of attracting affordable housing to their jurisdiction.
