The applicant is requesting an amendment to the Blackberry Planned Unit Development (PUD) to allow Wireless Communication Facilities as a Special Use, in addition to a Special Use to erect a 100 ft. concealed wireless communication tower at the southwest corner of the Oscar Swan property located at 1800 W. State St.

Balloon Test

As part of the project review, and for the benefit of surrounding residents and property owners, the applicant performed a visual assessment known as a balloon test. An oversized balloon was flown from 7 to 11 a.m. May 24 at the site to demonstrate the height of the proposed tower. 

Public Hearing

The City's Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jul. 14, at Geneva City Hall, 109 James St. All interested parties are invited to present testimony for or against the application and cross-examine witnesses presenting testimony for or against the application. City of Geneva meetings are now a combination of live and virtual. In addition, meetings are livestreamed for the public to provide the ability to contemporaneously hear all discussion, testimony and roll call votes of the open meeting in real time.
