Forty-five customers in the Fisher Farms and Westhaven subdivisions on the City's west side lost power June 1.
The outage occurred around 9:30 p.m. and impacted residents in the 200 & 300 blocks of Westhaven Circle, 3400 block of Heartland Drive and Pheasant Court, 100 & 200 blocks of Planters Row and the 3400 block of Keslinger Road.
Geneva's Public Works Department crews worked throughout the evening and into the morning. The exact cause of the outage was never determined, although the department believes the issue may have been a primary underground cable fault. Crews needed to switch, test and inspect lines - along with other infrastructure repairs - in order to restore service.
One customer's service was restored in less than four hours, and the remaining homes were back online during the morning June 2.
