The Geneva Public Works Department will be working on a Kirk Road street light repair project in June that will impact the traffic entrance to the Kirkwood and Averill Arbours subdivisions.
The project is being done to restore power to the lights along Kirk Road from Averill Circle south to State Street (Route 38). From 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, June 25, crews will be sawcutting pavement on Averill. Access will be restricted to one lane, and Public Works personnel will help guide traffic in and out of the west leg of Averill Circle at Kirk Road. Traffic on Kirk Road is not expected to be impacted.
The pavement cutting is being done in preparation for excavation and repair work scheduled for 8 a.m. to 3 p .m. Thursday, June 28. The pavement will be safe to drive on in between the cutting and repair work. A lane closure will again be needed for the repair project.
Once the repair has been completed, the area will be filled with gravel and patched at a later date. The schedule above may be subject to change based on weather or other electric-related calls coming into the City.
