About 8 inches of heavy, wet snow fell on Geneva Nov. 25-26 that required around-the-clock plow coverage and power restoration from the Public Works Department.
The community appreciated the hard work and shared some appreciation via email and the City's social media channels:
I have a special thanks for the gentleman who plowed the alleyway behind my house. The alley runs north and south and connects James and Campbell between Sixth and Fifth.
The plow operator was very considerate, given I had already shoveled my driveway beforehand, by removing spill from the alley out of my driveway the best he could…damn nice of him! For what it’s worth, he was driving a yellow pickup.
If you can, please pass on my gratitude. Keep it up!
James

Guys did a great job in my cul-de-sac! Didn't push snow back in front of my driveway after I had cleared it. Much appreciated!
