Powering Up

Power Restored
Geneva owns and operates its own electric utility, and we take great pride in providing reliable electric service to our residents and businesses. However, like all utilities, we are susceptible to outages caused by bad weather, animals, equipment issues and more. This blog is designed to provide updates on what caused outages after service has been restored. Large-scale incidents will be posted in real-time on the City's Alert Center on our website homepage. Customers can subscribe to receive these updates via Notify Me.

Country Naturals will have a giveaway and spin the wheel for special discounts on First Fridays. Located at 316 Campbell St., this shop has unique farmhouse decor, candles, soaps, and wreaths. The store's locally made Sentiments in Stone would be a nice accent piece in a garden.

Both Anastazia and sister store Liz & Kate will offer a 25% discount off regular priced merchandise between 5-8 p.m. for June's First Friday. These vibrant stores at Dodson Place Courtyard are a great stop for a Girls Night Out. You can find decorative items for the home at Anastazia and trendy women's clothing and accessories at Liz & Kate.

Anastazia

Anastazia and Liz & Kate happen to be very close to Galena Cellars Winery & Tasting Room, which has fabulous patio seating. During First Fridays in June and July, Frankie Smiles will perform live music starting at 5 p.m. and complimentary Wine of the Month tastings will be served. If you prefer dessert, Kilwins Chocolates & Ice Cream is also located in the courtyard. Kilwins is open until 9:30 pm on Friday nights, and they have great big rocking chairs on their patio to rest your tired shopping feet.

Mark your calendars to celebrate sweet home Geneva by exploring our shops during Moonlight Madness. Be sure to take a break at the Swedish Days' Craft Brew Tent, which will be open until 10 p.m. The local brews of Penrose Brewing Company and Stockholm's will be available on tap at Campbell Street west of Third Street.
