The Geneva Public Works Department believes a faulty underground cable caused a power outage at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 31 in the Geneva East subdivision.

The outage location impacted 55 customers in the 800 to 1000 blocks of Britta Lane and Manchester Course.

Public Works crews were able to isolate the section of bad cable and restore service to 11 customers by 9:40 p.m. Power to the remaining 44 customers was back online by 10:15 p.m.
