Powering Up

Power Restored
Geneva owns and operates its own electric utility, and we take great pride in providing reliable electric service to our residents and businesses. However, like all utilities, we are susceptible to outages caused by bad weather, animals, equipment issues and more. This blog is designed to provide updates on what caused outages after service has been restored. Large-scale incidents will be posted in real-time on the City's Alert Center on the our website homepage. Customers can subscribe to receive these updates via Notify Me.

[ARCHIVED] Well Rehab Project, Water Tower Painting On Tap In Geneva

The original item was published from February 27, 2020 4:51 PM to December 17, 2020 2:02 PM

Two Geneva Public Works Department projects are set to get underway on both the City's east and west sides.

Starting in March, a City contractor will begin repairing equipment at Well No. 10 located near the corner of Westhaven Circle and Heartland Drive on Geneva’s west side. Water quality in the area will not be impacted by the work since the well pumps water to the City’s Water Treatment Plant for processing.

A map and more project information can be found on the City's website.

On the other side of Geneva, the Dodson Street water tower will be painted this spring and summer. The tower, located behind Geneva’s Fire Department headquarters, 200 East Side Drive, was last painted in 1996.

Additional painting project details also are available online.
