The Dodson Street water tower will be getting a fresh coat of paint with work scheduled to get underway Wednesday, April 1.
The tower, located behind Geneva’s Fire Department headquarters, 200 East Side Drive, was last painted in 1996. The City has contracted with Jetco to complete the project.
Crews typically will be painting from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, although hours may be extended to 8 p.m. some nights if the project falls behind schedule due to inclement weather. Work also is expected to take place on some Saturdays. The project, which should be finished by August, is not expected to create any closures or disruptions for adjacent neighbors or Harrison Street School.
