About 465 Geneva customers lost power at 4:48 p.m. Nov. 20 after one of the feeds to the City's South Street substation tripped.
Impacted customers were located within the perimeter of Burgess Road to Cambridge Drive from South Street to Pepper Valley Drive. Geneva's Public Works Department crews patrolled the line and closed the circuit, restoring service at 5:33 p.m.
As a reminder, residents should call the Geneva Police Department's non-emergency phone number at 630-232-4736 to report power outages taking place after-hours and on the weekends. Police will dispatch the on-call Public Works Electric Division staff to respond to matter.
