Great Job

Kudos To City Employees

In today's digital age, public-sector employees are frequent targets for criticism.

Although compliments are rare, we do see more than most due to the quality of the workforce at the City of Geneva. Sometimes our work is very visible with our police, fire and public works employees out in the community. But many times, it is the behind-the-scenes efforts from our City staff that also deserves recognition.

Check out some of the recent feedback we have received from the community for a job well done.

Public Works Buffalo Box House Line Replacement

Posted on April 28, 2021 at 2:31 PM by Kevin Stahr

As I'm sure that you know, your Public Works crew and Michels Plumbing replaced my water line yesterday, and we could not be more pleased with their skill and efficiency. A bonus is that they are all such nice people.

It was, at least for me, an amazing thing to watch. Five hours from arrival in the morning to passing the City inspection in the early afternoon!

The plumbers started the boring machine from across the east side of the street. Our house is another 100' from the curb on the west side of the street, yet they brought their drill into our basement within the 1' space that I asked them to try for. The City's Public Works crew then had all of the holes filled, patched, and seeded by the time that the plumbers had finished the hookup in the basement. True professionalism and very much appreciated.

I posted a picture on the "What's Happening in Geneva" Facebook page and several people "liked" it. I hope that it gets the word out.
