Fall is here and Geneva's businesses are organizing all sorts of fun activities to bring you a memorable season.
Get out your sweaters and fall boots, plant your mums, and then head to Geneva to have a good time. Our downtown's beautiful colorful tree-lined streets, historic storefronts, benches, and brick pathways offer a picturesque backdrop for shopping and dining.
Stop by Art History Brewing, Geneva's new brewery, for some craft beer tasting and fresh-baked pretzels. The brewery will host Artoberfest Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 25-26, which will feature food, live music, and a ceremonial keg tapping and gravity pour of Artoberfest - Festbier.

The third annual self-guided Jack-O-Lantern Walk will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1. More than 50 merchants will have glowing pumpkins in their storefronts or outside their doors. You can stroll through downtown Geneva with the help of an interactive map, then cast your vote for your favorite three designs. A fall-themed photo op will be available on the Kane County Courthouse lawn. Autumn Fest also falls on First Friday, a night Geneva merchants stay open later and offer exclusive in-store specials.

Check out the discounts and raffles the merchants are offering on Oct. 1. The stores will be decked out with all of their new fall arrivals. Exploring Geneva's downtown shops is great fun with a friend. There are so many treasures waiting to be found.

Our independent shops have unique seasonal decor that can give your home a cozy fall aesthetic. These happy pumpkins at Country Naturals would be a great addition to any surface.

You can find one-of-kind pottery at The Winding Deerpath, which carries nature-themed gifts made by local and national artisans.

A new wreath always adds warmth to an entrance. The Geneva Wreath Co., which just opened at 328 S. Third St., provides handcrafted wreaths for any season.

Cafe and Barr is hosting a BOO-tique Market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, where you can find fall decor, apparel, glassware, essential oils, and crystals. This coffeehouse offers coffee drinks, beer, wine and sandwiches with regular live acoustic music. Check out the seasonal drinks on their chalkboard.
In September, the Geneva Center for the Arts opened its doors at 321 Stevens St. adjacent to Playhouse 38. The Center will offer exhibitions, classes, and events to the community. Guest curator and artist Joanne Aono's show entitled "Care" will be in the gallery from Friday, Oct. 15 to Friday, Nov. 19. The inaugural exhibition features the works of Karen Azarnia, Brenda Barnum, and Cydney M. Lewis. The opening event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 15.

Families are welcome to trick-or-treat in downtown Geneva on Thursday, Oct. 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. The kids will have a chance to try out their costumes before the big day and the photo ops will be priceless. Participating merchants will display a flyer in their windows. Thriller on 38 is an experience you will never forget in downtown Geneva. Thanks to Vargo's Dance, a large group of local dancers, dressed like zombies, perform Michael Jackson's "Thriller" right on Second and State streets. The event starts at 7 p.m. Oct. 28. Food trucks and a DJ add to the festivities.

The possibilities are endless for reinventing your look at Geneva Commons. The new Athleta store is an exciting addition to the neighborhood. They now have sizes for girls in activewear, including a wide range of leggings.

Jade Clothing on Third Street has you covered with must-have fashion pieces like this lightweight Vera Sweater.

When the leaves are nearly done falling, we hope you return to Geneva on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 27. Join us in celebrating the individuals who work incredibly hard to keep their small businesses thriving and make our community a special place to visit.
