Downtown Geneva has three wine tasting rooms that are all within a short walk of each other. If you are looking for a way to relax with friends this summer, why not taste your way through our wineries?

Up North Wine Tasting Room just opened in May at 9 N. Second St. This new upscale and inviting tasting room, operated by a mom, daughter, and daughter-in-law, features premier Northern Michigan wines. The Humphrey family opened Up North Wine to bring their passion, Northern Michigan wines, home to the Geneva community. During the summer Up North is happy to help you cool off with a delicious Frose, otherwise known as a wine slushie.

Geneva Winery and Tasting Room at 426 S. Third St. is another fantastic stop to enjoy wine. This micro-winery has converted its front lawn to a large outdoor patio where guests take their time visiting and sipping wine. On the weekends, Geneva Winery has live music from the front steps of their building, amplifying the festive vibe. Please take note, they also have wine slushies.

At Geneva Wine Cellars and Tasting Room at 227 S. Third St., you can experience wine tasting and a free live painting demo on their Berry House patio. Music and art events are posted on its Facebook page, where they also describe the selection of wines from all around the world. While you are there, the Berry House has a number of great antique and home furnishings shops, a new flameworked glass studio, El Molcajete, and Cookie Dough Bliss.

Wine connoisseurs and beginners alike can satisfy their palettes and imaginations at all three of these downtown Geneva stops, which each have a different selection of wine on their shelves. Up North focuses on celebrating the best Northern Michigan wines. Geneva Winery crafts wine right here in Geneva, and Geneva Wine Cellars carefully curates an international wine selection from the United States and beyond.
