Experience a scenic setting while staying active in Geneva.

Fishing, Kayaking and Canoeing
The Fox River provides the perfect setting to enjoy the great outdoors. Rent a kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard at Mill Race Cyclery.

Biking, Hiking and Running
Geneva has a wide network of paths to explore including the Fox River Trail, the Illinois Prairie Path and Peck Farm Bike Path. The picturesque Fox River Trail is showcased on Enjoy Illinois as “a testament to the magnificence of the Geneva area. Following along the banks of the Fox River, this smooth-surface trail provides ideal conditions for biking." Rent or purchase bikes or bike tune-up services at Cykel Cycles and Mill Race Cyclery. Both stores organize group bike rides if you want to explore with fellow bike enthusiasts.

The newly opened Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Course at Settler's Hill is a professionally developed and maintained cross country course open to the public on non-race days. Runners can experience a panoramic view of the Fox River Valley and Chicago skyline. Designed for large high school and college meets, the course features an 80-meter wide curved starting line and a 550-meter starting straightaway.

Golfing
Golfers can visit Eagle Brook Country Club, a 254-acre links-style 18-hole golf course, or the Geneva Golf Club, home to the oldest 9-hole golf course in Illinois dating back to 1900. If you are looking to perfect your swing prior to getting on the course, X-Golf Geneva and Golf Underground offer golf simulators and indoor putting greens. Disc golf and miniature golf fans can meet at Wheeler Park in downtown Geneva. This spacious park also features a paved path, beautiful landscaping, a playground, and tennis courts.
