In preparation for the
Union Pacific Third Main Line project, ComEd is continuing to relocate utility lines. That effort is going to require tree trimming and brush removal in several areas this month.
You can click the map above to view a larger version. Trimming is slated to take place on the south side of the tracks near the Fabyan Forest Preserve, downtown and near Randall Road.
ComEd was hoping to finish the utility relocation this fall. The project was not expected to have a major impact on traffic.
For more information about the tree trimming or utility relocation, call ComEd at 630-576-6200 or 800-Edison-1. People will be asked to leave a message that will be returned by a ComEd employee.
The Third Main Rail Line construction is anticipated to start in summer 2018.
