Union Pacific's contractor announced the commuter parking lot at 607 S. Third St. (south of the tracks on the east side of the roadway) will be closed starting Tuesday, May 9 as part of the Third Main Line project. The parking lot will be closed for the foreseeable future.

Union Pacific's contractor informed the City the Fox River Trail along the east bank of river will be closed intermittently to the public during April.

Union Pacific announced operations are underway to build a third railroad line near the current UP-West railway tracks spanning from Peck Road in Geneva to West Chicago.
