Residents interested in running for aldermen on the Geneva City Council in 2019 can find a candidate guide posted on the City’s website.
The guide, which provides election information on how to file for candidacy and all required forms, can be found on the City’s website homepage. Nominating petitions may not be circulated prior to Tuesday, Sept. 18.
One aldermanic seat in each of the City’s five wards are up for election next year. Each position carries a four-year term.
Candidates can file their petitions from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays from Monday, Dec. 10 through Monday, Dec. 17 at Geneva City Hall, 109 James St.
The candidates will run in the April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election. For more election information, visit the Kane County Election Commission’s website.
