The Kane County Division of Transportation announced road construction on Fabyan Parkway between Route 25 and Nagel Boulevard will resume April 14 after being shut down for the winter.
The remaining work includes removal and replacement of the curb on the north side of the roadway, milling and asphalt removal, paving the final driving surface on Fabyan Parkway, and final landscaping and restoration. Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of May, according to the County.
Fabyan Parkway will be temporarily reduced to one lane in each direction during the daytime working hours to protect motorists and allow crews access to the construction area. Motorists are advised to exercise caution while traveling through the work zone, watch for equipment entering and exiting on Fabyan Parkway and expect increased travel times.
