Students interested in learning about local government and how Geneva determines its priorities can apply for a unique opportunity to serve on the City's Strategic Plan Advisory Committee.

As a full-fledged committee member, the selected student will participate in regular meetings and provide important input to assist the City Council in prioritizing community goals. This hands-on experience provides a unique opportunity to play an active role in implementing the City’s strategic plan and shape the future of our community.

To be eligible, the student must:

• Live in Geneva;
• Be currently enrolled in high school;
• Be able to participate in the City's Student Government Committee;
• Attend Strategic Plan Advisory Committee meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesdays of each month at City Hall; and
• Submit a letter of interest and resume no later than 11 p.m. Thursday, July 11.

Documents should be submitted to Ben McCready, Assistant City Administrator/Director of Administrative Services, at City Hall, 22 S. First St., or via email. For more information about the Strategic Plan Advisory Committee, visit the City's website.
