Geneva's Public Works Department will be shutting down traffic lanes starting at 9 a.m. Aug. 30 to rod and televise sanitary sewer lines on Route 31 and State Street (Rotue 38).
Southbound Route 31 traffic will be shifted to the turn lane and eastbound State Street will be reduced to one lane. The State Street left-hand turn lane to head north on Route 31 will be closed.
These closures should last about 30 minutes to an hour. After work is completed, crews will continue with temporary moving operations to rod/televise sanitary sewer lines heading south on Route 31 for the remainder of the day. Lane closures will be necessary on Route 31, and flaggers will be present to direct traffic.
Please use caution when driving through the work zone. For more information, call the Geneva Public Works Department Water Division at 630-232-1551.
