[ARCHIVED] City Flag Lowered For Longtime Little Traveler Employee

City Hall Flag Lowered

The Geneva flag at City Hall has been lowered to half-staff in memory of Joe Greenberg, 95, who died Sept. 2 after working at The Little Traveler for more than five decades.

According to The Little Traveler's Facebook page, Mr. Greenberg "had been part the heart and soul of The Little Traveler family for over 50 years, and worked until last month, doing everything that’s possible to do in our store, from coordinating our annual inventory to roaming the store in costumes to celebrate major holidays, to being our staff photographer for all our special events, to being the first person in each morning to turn on the lights and the last one out each night to shut them off."

Mr. Greenberg's family will have a celebration of his life at a later, safer time, according to The Little Traveler.

The City of Geneva extends its condolences to the Greenberg family and friends for their loss.
