The Kane County Department of Transportation will be starting road construction on Keslinger Road the week of Aug. 11.
The County will be working from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. the next three weeks (weather permitting) milling and paving Keslinger Road from Randall to Brundige roads. The project will include removal of 1.5 inches of existing pavement and placement of more than 2 inches of asphalt to provide a smooth driving surface.
Temporary daily lane closures Monday through Saturday will be required during construction. Motorists should watch for fresh oil signs, flaggers and reduce speed while traveling through the construction zone. Drivers are advised to consider alternate routes since the project is expected to cause traffic delays the next several weeks.
Questions or concerns should be directed to John Guddendorf, Kane County Division of Transportation, at 630-816-9671. See the link below for all Kane County Traffic advisories.
