[ARCHIVED] Geneva To Start Sidewalk, Curb Construction

Sidewalk

Update

Construction work is resuming the week of Nov. 1 after inclement weather in late October caused project delays.

Original Post

The City's 2021 sidewalk and curb maintenance program is scheduled to take place Monday to Friday, Oct. 25-29, followed by a five-day curing period that will run into November. The schedule is weather-dependent.

The contractor will saw cut old segments of concrete that will be replaced and then pour the new surface. A project map and more information have been posted on the City's website.

Notices were mailed to impacted households in mid-October, including those residents who will have to park their cars on the streets given that their driveways will be impacted by construction.

For more information, contact the City's Associate Engineer Brian Davids by calling 630-232-1501 or sending him an email.
