[ARCHIVED] Kane County Plans Fabyan Parkway Road

The Kane County Division of Transportation will begin road construction on Fabyan Parkway from Kirk Road east to the county line starting the week of Aug. 18.

Construction hours will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day for the next three weeks, weather permitting.

The resurfacing project will include removal of 1.5 inches of existing pavement and placement of more than 2 inches of asphalt to provide a smooth driving surface.

Temporary daily lane closures Monday through Saturday will be required during construction. Motorists should watch for fresh oil signs and flaggers as well as reduce speed while traveling through the construction zone. Drivers are advised to consider alternate routes since the project is expected to cause traffic delays the next several weeks.

Questions or concerns should be directed to John Guddendorf, Kane County Division of Transportation, at 630-816-9671. See the link below for all Kane County Traffic advisories.
