[ARCHIVED] 2015 City Council Candidate Guide Now Available

Geneva residents interested in running for a seat on the City Council in 2015 can find a Candidate Guide posted on the City’s website.

People can find the election information on how to file for candidacy, as well as all required forms, at the link below. Nominating petitions may not be circulated prior to Tuesday, Sept. 23.

The following aldermanic wards have one open seat for four-year terms in next year’s election, unless otherwise noted:

• Ward 1
• Ward 2
• Ward 3 (two seats; one 2-year and one 4-year)
• Ward 4
• Ward 5 (two seats; one 2-year and one 4-year)

Candidates can file their petitions from 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday between Dec. 15 and Dec. 22 at Geneva City Hall, 109 James St.

The candidates will run in the April 7, 2015 Consolidated Election. For more information about the election, visit the Kane County Election Commission’s website at www.kanecountyelections.org.
