The Kane County Recycles Event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 13 at 540 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
Recycle electronics including computers, keyboards, laptops, printers, televisions (any size or age), stereos, cell phones, microwaves, Christmas lights, and more. Crews will unload for you. A complete list of accepted items, and more information can be found at the link below. Books of any age and condition will be taken for reuse or recycling.
Liquid Latex Paint is the only item that has a recycling fee per container, payable by the resident with cash or check. It is $1.50 per pint and $2.50 per gallon. No oil based product will be accepted.
Residents living in Kane County can bring documents in paper bags or boxes. Limit is 150 lbs. (4-6 boxes). The document shredding is only open to residents, not businesses. More guidelines can be found at the link below.
Hazardous waste or large household appliances like washers and refrigerators will not be accepted.
