[ARCHIVED] Tree Trimming To Help Improve Electric Service Reliability

Public Works News

The City of Geneva announced tree trimming operations will be taking place over the next several months on the City's west side.

A City contractor will be trimming trees primarily west of the Fox River and south of State Street (Route 38). Trimming occurs year-round with the majority of the work being performed in the fall.

The pruning of trees is one of the most important maintenance practices to prevent power outages and help ensure reliable service for the City's electric utility.

The City will be notifying affected residents about tree trimming taking place in their neighborhood. Maps and more information also can be found on the City’s website.

Residents who have questions or concerns can call the City's Public Works Department Electric Division at 630-232-1503.
