The City is working with Geneva Construction on 14 road resurfacing and drainage projects included in the 2022 street improvement program, which started in late July and is expected to be completed in October.

The effects of strike earlier in the years are still rippling through the construction industry with concrete still not being readily available. Here is the Sept. 16 update:

Alley South of Geneva Drive

Restoration of grass and other hard surfaces will start Monday, Sept. 26.

Alley South of Britta Lane

The pavement replacement completion date has changed to Wednesday, Sept. 21. Residents living between 900 and 1018 Britta Lane and 925 & 1039 Manchester Course will have access to their garage starting Sept. 21 from the east end. The remainder of the alley remains closed until further notice. Restoration of the grass and hard surfaces will start on Sept. 26.

Garbage Reminder

All residents on the south side of Britta Lane and the north side of Manchester Course need to put their garbage in front of their homes again Thursday, Sept. 22. After the concrete is poured, residents will have to park their cars on the street for at least five days to give the surface time to cure.

Viking Drive & Kaneville Road

Paving on Kaneville Road was completed this week. Pavement marking on both Viking Drive and Kaneville Road will begin in about one week. 

Pioneer Court

With pavement replacement finished, driveway restoration should take place in about one week. 

Redwing Drive & Heather Road

Curb and sidewalk removal has been delayed for a second week. Work is now scheduled to start Monday, Sept. 19.
