Third Street To Be Closed For Geneva Arts Fair

Art Fair 2

With thousands of visitors expected to attend the Geneva Arts Fair later this month, the Geneva Police Department announced a portion of South Third Street will be closed during the festival.

The Arts Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 29-30 in downtown Geneva. To accommodate the event, Third Street from James to South streets will be shut down at noon Friday, July 28 for both traffic and parking to allow artists to set up their tents.

“No Parking” signage will be posted during the morning July 28 to notify downtown visitors. If vehicles remain on South Third Street after the parking restrictions begin, the Police Department will have them towed.

The primary Geneva Arts Fair detour route is Second Street.

South Third Street is expected to be reopened to motorists by 8:30 p.m. July 30.
