A stretch of Sandholm Street will be closed for two partial days as the Geneva Public Works Department replaces water service infrastructure.

Sandholm Street was shut down from State (Route 38) to Spring streets starting at 8 a.m. July 19. The roadway will be temporarily reopened late morning and closed again on Thursday, July 20.

Motorists can use Simpson Street as an alternate route. The construction schedule is weather dependent and subject to change.

On the City's west side, Geneva Public Works crews are replacing asphalt July 19 from a previous Water Division project on Center Street.

The roadway will be closed from Illinois to Edison streets until late afternoon. Drivers can use Union or North streets as alternate routes.
