The Geneva Police Department will be conducting an active shooter training exercise Wednesday, Dec. 10 at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva, 102 S. Second St.

The training will take place indoors during two sessions scheduled for 7 to 10 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m.

Signs will be placed outside the church alerting the public that the exercise is taking place. Live ammunition will not be used as part of the training, but there is a possibility simulated gunshots might be heard outside the building.

There is no danger being posed to the public as part of this exercise.
