[ARCHIVED] Geneva Garbage Collection Rates Increase In July; Pickup Remains On Schedule This Week

Geneva residents should take note that garbage collection rates will increase Wednesday, July 1 as part of the City’s five-year contract with Advanced Disposal.

A garbage sticker will now cost $3.11. However, people who purchased stickers at the previous rate of $2.98 can use their remaining supply without paying the difference. Prices for the three available refuse carts also will go up less than a dollar, according to the contract.

This week, Geneva garbage collection will remain on its normal Thursday-Friday schedule since the Fourth of July holiday falls on a Saturday.
