[ARCHIVED] Trick-Or-Trot Race To Impact Downtown Traffic

Several downtown Geneva streets will be closed to traffic early Saturday, Sept. 26 to accommodate the Trick-or-Trot race course.

The run begins on South Third Street and impacts Campbell Street, Franklin Street, Fourth through Sixth streets, and River Lane. Route 31 at Campbell Street will be closed intermittently to allow runners to cross between 7 and 9:30 a.m.

The recommended detour for drivers traveling northbound on Route 31 will be turning west on Fulton Street, north on Seventh Street and east onto State Street (Route 38) to head back toward Route 31. Motorists driving southbound on Route 31 will head west on James Street, south on Seventh Street and then east on Fulton Street to return to Route 31.

There will be numerous course marshals and police officers providing traffic control, so please use caution when driving through the downtown. Officials will be available to assist motorists to access local businesses as well as to and from their homes if they live within the designated race course.

All downtown streets will reopen after 10 a.m. For more information about the Trick-or-Trot run, visit the Zellmer Childhood Disease Foundation’s website at the link below.
