[ARCHIVED] City Seeks Dedicated Volunteer To Serve On Mental Health Board

The City is looking for residents interested in giving their time and talents to fill a vacancy on the Geneva Mental Health Board.

The Board represents the health sector to discuss community issues regarding mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse.

Residents interested in serving on this advisory volunteer position should submit an application along with a letter of interest to Mayor Kevin Burns, Geneva City Hall, 22 S. First St., Geneva, IL 60134. The envelope should include a reference to the Mental Health Board.

Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements in order to be considered for the position:

• Be a legal U.S. citizen;
• Live in Geneva for a minimum of one year;
• Be a registered voter;
• Have no felony convictions; and
• Be current on taxes and payments to the City.

Mayor Burns will review all the applications and bring forward a nomination to the City Council for a formal vote.
