[ARCHIVED] Commander Passarelli Named President Of Kane County Chiefs Of Police Association

Geneva Police Commander Eric Passarelli will serve as president of the Kane County Chiefs of Police Association for 2016.

Passarelli has been an association member for the past seven years, including the past two on the group’s executive board. He was sworn into the position Jan. 21 by Kane County 16th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Clint Hull.

The association was formed to enhance law enforcement efforts throughout Kane County. Besides networking, the group hosts fundraising opportunities that help pay for the county’s major crimes and accident reconstruction task forces, works with Special Olympics and offers scholarships to area students.

Passarelli joined the Geneva Police Department in 1994 as a patrol officer. He has held many roles in the department, including being promoted to patrol sergeant in 2005 and commander in 2008.
