Mental Health Board

The Mental Health Board is comprised of Geneva residents concerned with the mental health of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, mental illness or substance abuse.

With the consent of the City Council, seven members are appointed by the Mayor, and each serve a four-year term. Restrictions of this board state that no more than one representative of the City Council may be a member and no member shall be an employee, board member, or individual receiving compensation from the Illinois Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities or the Illinois Department of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse.

Grant Funding Application

The Geneva Mental Health is now accepting grant requests for November 2023. Non-profit organizations that provide services to City of Geneva residents (who live within the corporate limits of the City) with intellectual or developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance abuse could be eligible to receive funding under this statute.

The application must be completed by Friday, Oct. 27, 2023 in order to be eligible for funding consideration. If you have any questions regarding the application form, please email the board.
