The City of Geneva is committed to exceptional customer service for applicants who wish to install electric vehicle charging stations. To promote the continued advancement of EV infrastructure, the City will: 

• Provide clear guidelines about the EV charging station permitting and inspection process in our permit packet.
• Use an EV charging station-specific permit application and make it available online.
• Process EV charging station applications within 10 days.  
• Complete EV charging station inspections within five days after the installation/request for an inspection.
• Provide a list of Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) certified EV charging station installers.
