Just under 1,200 customers lost power at 3:27 p.m. June 11 after an underground cable fault occurred on the City's east side.

The outage impacted customers in the Geneva East and Kirkwood subdivisions.

Geneva's Public Works Department isolated the bad section of cable and restored power in stages. About half the customers had service within 19 minutes of the outage. The remaining homes were brought back online between 4:08 and 4:25 p.m. June 11.
