The City is enhancing electric service reliability by replacing underground utility cable in four areas of Geneva. Work began in August and will continue into this summer.
Utility Dynamics, the City contractor, completed the Fabyan Parkway project. After an extended delay in receiving materials, work is scheduled to resume in late June at the following residential locations:
- South Street (near Gary & Shelia lanes) - June 21-22;
- Hill Road and Whitfield Drive - June 23-29; and
- Burgess Road area - July 10 - Aug. 28.
Scheduled power outages will be required to connect homes to the new electric infrastructure. Final landscape restoration will begin after all the homes have been connected.
A project map and additional information can be found on the underground electric replacement program web page.
